General Extension Care For Daily Life: Sleeping With Extensions
🔥 How to Sleep with Extensions & Avoid Damage (Because Bedhead Shouldn't Be a Horror Movie)
Hey there, I’m Beth from Laney Mae’s Salon in Greensburg, PA, your go-to specialist for all things hair extensions. If you find yourself waking up with a hairstyle that resembles a bird's nest, we definitely need to chat. Your extensions deserve better. You deserve better. And most importantly—your morning self deserves better.
💡 How to Protect Your Extensions While You Sleep (So You Wake Up Looking Like a Goddess, Not a Wreck):
✔ Tie it up, but make it cute. Opt for a loose braid or low ponytail to keep those extensions from becoming a tangled mess. Bonus: Soft waves await you in the morning instead of a rat’s nest.
✔ Switch to a silk pillowcase. Cotton equals friction; friction equals breakage. Silk equals luxury, soft hair, and a regret-free morning.
✔ Brush before bed. This isn’t a Disney princess moment, but it's close. A few gentle strokes with an extension-safe brush means fewer knots and less morning drama.
✔ Say no to sleeping with wet hair. Wet extensions equal matting, frizz, and possibly pre-coffee crying. Ensure your hair is thoroughly dry before hitting the pillow.
✔ Use a silk or satin bonnet if you’re extra. And honestly? Be extra. Your future self will thank you.
🚫 What NOT to Do:
❌ Going to bed with your hair down and praying for the best. Hope is not a strategy.
❌ Sleeping in a top knot tighter than your ex’s grip on your Netflix password. Too much tension leads to stress on your roots and damage over time.
❌ Ignoring move-ups. If your extensions are grown out, they tangle easier—don’t let neglect be the reason you wake up in knots.
💡 Your nighttime routine should leave you with flawless, damage-free hair. Want a custom aftercare plan for your extensions?
